Wes Nelson has shut down any chance of a reconciliation with his ex-Megan Barton Hanson, saying the pairâs relationship is still tumultuous.
The reality TV stars split in January, six months after meeting on Love Island, and days into Nelsonâs stint on Dancing on Ice.
He was hit with reports he had a fling with his skating partner Vanessa Bauer, with Barton Hanson accusing show bosses of deliberately partnering Nelson with the âhottestâ contestant.
âWe havenât spoken in a good amount of time,â he told the Loose Women panel of Barton Hanson. âSometimes its civil, sometimes itâs not. Iâm happy to be civil. Iâm not malicious or bitter. Whatever happens, happens.â

Asked if they would ever get back together, he replied: âI donât think so no. Itâs sad but sadly I donât think so.â
Nelson also slammed claims he had a fling with Bauer, deeming the reports âlaughableâ.

âI split with my ex and there were a lot of allegations,â he said. âThereâs no truth in it. Itâs laughable. In training everyone was laughing. Vanessa is probably one of the most professional people Iâve ever met in my life.â
Shutting down Barton Hansonâs claim that Bauer splitting from her boyfriend of three years hours before Nelsonâs Dancing on Ice debut was âtactical,â he said: âWe all go through break ups at this stage in our lives so itâs not a big coincidence.â
Barton Hanson this weekend opened up about the hurtful comments she received from trolls telling her Nelson âdeservesâ to be with âathletic and naturalâ Bauer.
âIâm not going to lie, it hurts, Iâm human,â she said at a Glamour event. âJust because I have a blue tick next to my name and on a show for a couple weeks it doesnât make me invincible, it still hurts.â
Nelson, who is in talks for his own TV show, finished in second place to James Jordan on Sunday nightâs Dancing on Ice final.
