The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones were introduced in October 2018 during Google’s hardware event in San Francisco. The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL do not look identical, at least as far as their front side is concerned. The Pixel 3 comes without a display notch, with bezels above and below the display, while the Pixel 3 XL sports a rather large display notch, and a ‘chin’ below the display. Both phones sport a single camera on the back, while both combine metal and glass as far as the design is concerned. A fingerprint scanner is included on the back of both Pixel 3 phones, while both devices ship with Android 9 Pie.
The Google Pixel 3 features a 5.5-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) OLED display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of storage, while its larger sibling comes with a 6.3-inch QHD+ (2880 x 1440) OLED display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of storage. Both phones sport a 12.2-megapixel camera (f/1.8 aperture, OIS, 1.4um pixel size) on the back, while two 8-megapixel cameras are included on the front side of both smartphones. Stereo speakers are a part of the package in both cases as well, while both devices are IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.

The design of these two smartphones is not for everyone, especially the design of the Pixel 3 XL. It’s hard to deny that these two phones are compelling, though, both are really powerful in both performance and camera departments, while both devices will be the first in line to get updates directly from Google. Google did include quite powerful specs in both Pixel 3 phones, and you also have options when it comes to size, so if you don’t prefer a rather large Pixel 3 XL and / or its notch is not your thing, the Pixel 3 is definitely a solid option as well, it all depends on what you prefer.
