How To Disconnect Spotify From Your Facebook Account

Spotify allows you to login and create an account with a lot of different websites. Including Facebook, Google and even Apple (if you’re using an iPhone or iPad). So you don’t need to create yet another login for another app. But this does mean that you are unable to change your password when you want – since it’s down through a third-party app. So how can you unlink your Facebook account from Spotify? It’s actually quite easy to do, and you can then sign in with your own email and password.

If you’re looking to deactivate your Facebook account and get rid of it (and we can’t blame you), you’ll want to do this first. Otherwise you won’t be able to login to your Spotify account. Which can become a pretty big issue. So without further ado, here’s how you can disconnect your Spotify account from your Facebook account.

How to disconnect Spotify from your Facebook account

To disconnect Spotify from Facebook, firstly, you’ll need to create a password for your Spotify account. To learn more about doing that, head over to our guide on how to reset your Spotify password.

Next, you’ll want to unlink your Spotify account from Facebook. So head over to Facebook’s website.

After you have logged in, tap on the arrow in the top-right corner.

Then tap on “Settings & Privacy”.

Next, tap on “Settings”.

Now, go down to “Apps and Websites”.

On this page, find Spotify, and click on “Remove”.

You’ll now see a confirmation window about whether you really want to remove Spotify. Click on the blue “Remove” button.

Now your Facebook is unlinked from your Spotify account. It’s just that easy. And now you’ll be able to log in with your email and password. And Facebook won’t have access to your Spotify account any longer, though it never posts anything from Spotify unless you chose that setting anyways.
