Cazenove lining up for AIM

THE Queen's stockbroker Cazenove is prepared to put aside all pretensions when it floats next year. It is considering a listing on the Alternative Investment Market, rather than joining the main stock market. The junior market has certain tax advantages, but tends to attract smaller firms.
It would be an unusual move for the upmarket broker, which was valued at more than £1bn before markets tumbled this year. It wants to float by April 2003. 'Aim has always been one of our options and remains so,' said chief executive Robert Pickering.
