Log on for breast cancer advice

Women with a family history of breast cancer are offered advice about the risks of getting the disease by a new website today.

The site, created by the charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer, discusses treatments for the disease plus the issues around genetic testing for it. The charity's Dr Michelle Barclay said there was a need for easily accessible, reliable information as 2,000 of the 40,000 women diagnosed with breast cancer each year have inherited faulty genes linked to the disease.
