Modern look for London's new almshouses

Almshouses for people on low incomes are to be built in London.
Lewisham council has given permission for 62 flats with one or two bedrooms in Belmont Park, designed in a modern style for older people to live independently.
They replace the Christopher Boone almshouses on the site. The new homes will be arranged around a landscaped courtyard with balconies and decked walkways overlooking the central area. There will also be a quiet working garden.
