Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a man died nine days after he was found stabbed in Ilford.
Florin Onea, 49, died on Monday after he was found by police with a stab wound on Saturday, October 17 following reports of a disturbance at an address in Hickling Road.
A post-mortem has yet to take place and although police said he had not been formally identified his next of kin are aware.
A 34-year-old man was arrested at the address and has been charged with GBH with intent.
Officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command continue to investigate.
