Driver charged over two cyclist deaths in Purley on Thames

A motorist has been charged with causing the deaths of two cyclists who were struck by a car.

Alexander Farrar Walters, 31, of Purley on Thames, has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, Thames Valley police said.

He has also been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, driving while disqualified and with using a vehicle without insurance.

Walters is due to appear at Reading Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The cyclists have been named locally as father-of-two John Moorland, 30, and Kris Jarvis, 39.
