London man, 25, charged with attempting to murder police officer

A man has been charged with the attempted murder of a police officer in north London.

Femi Gbadamosi, 25, is accused of trying to kill the constable in Leda Avenue in Enfield yesterday, Scotland Yard said.

Gbadamosi, who lives in Leda Avenue, also faces a charge of possession of an offensive weapon relating to a kitchen knife, a spokesman said.

He is due to appear at London's Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Monday.
