Man in serious condition in hospital after stabbing near Battersea Power Station

A man in his 30s was airlifted to hospital after a stabbing in a street near Battersea Power Station this afternoon.

The victim was attacked in Kirtling Street at about 2.30pm, Scotland Yard said.

He was taken to a south London hospital by air ambulance where he is in a serious but stable condition.

Officers from Lambeth Police are trying to trace one suspect.

No arrests have been made.

A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance service said they were called to reports of a stabbing at 2.30pm and took one man to hospital "as a priority".
