Police are hunting for an escaped prisoner who was on remand for attempted murder.

Detectives believe 18-year-old Jordan Lee Francois could be "a risk to the public", Scotland Yard said today.

The Met released a picture of Francois, who has links to north London, as they appealed for the public's help in tracing him.

A £10,000 reward is being offered for any information which leads to his arrest.

DCI Noel McHugh, from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, who is leading the investigation, said: “I believe Francois may present a risk to the public. If anyone has information that could lead us to find and arrest him then I would urge you to get in touch with us immediately.

“We have a number of officers currently working hard to track down Francois and arrest him.”

Francois is black, 6'4" and stocky in build, a police spokesman said.

Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
