It was the Best of British in Cannes last night. Singer Nick Cave was to be found lunching on the Odessa yacht with film mogul Harvey Weinstein, while in the evening Scottish actor Gerard Butler and Bond girl Gemma Arterton turned up at the Creative Artists Agency party in Cannes, held at the Le Baron Club. The one thing they also brought with them was weather. It rained chats et chiens on the French Riviera last night.
