The busiest Tube journeys in London have been revealed, with new data showing that more than 20,000 commuters make the same journey to work every day.
A new interactive tool was launched by Sadiq Khan to show Londoners how many people share their daily commute.
The data, collated by City Hall, revealed that the most popular journey is from Bank / Monument to Waterloo - travelled by 23,323 people each day.
The Waterloo and City line journey carries more than double the number of passengers than the second most popular trip, Victoria to Oxford Circus, which is used by 11,607 people.
This is followed by Waterloo to Canary Wharf and back – cementing Waterloo’s title as the busiest station in London.
The tool was launched as part of the Mayor’s scheme to transform London into a “smart” city “at the forefront of innovation”.
Its aim is to encourage Londoners to share such data and see how it can be used to improve travel across the capital.

“Data can help us streamline transport, highlight air pollution hotspots, reduce energy bills and much, much more,” a statement said.
Theo Blackwell, City Hall's newly-appointed chief digital officer, is leading the project.
“This is a fun tool created to help Londoners think about how their data can be used to improve our capital,” he said.

The tool has been created as part of the Smart London Plan, which is project designed to utilise the capability of digital technologies and data-gathering tools to improve a range of aspect of London.
