Bill Gates published a letter online aimed at busting myths about poverty

Billionaire Bill Gates published a letter today aimed at busting three big myths about tackling poverty.
The Microsoft chief, who runs a charitable foundation with his wife Melinda, also published a survey which suggested that half of people in the UK believe the myths to be true.
They are that poor countries are doomed to stay poor, that foreign aid is a waste and that saving lives leads to overpopulation. The letter comes before this week’s World Economic Forum meeting in Davos which will discuss how to boost global growth.
