Samsung Galaxy Book3 series specifications

In addition to announcing the Galaxy S23 series during today’s press event, Samsung also announced its new flagship PC lineup. The Galaxy Book3 series got announced, and we’re here to take a look at their specifications.

Before we begin, let’s just say that three devices got announced, the Galaxy Book3 Ultra, Galaxy Book3 Pro 360, and Galaxy Book3 Pro. The ‘Ultra’ model is the highest-end unit, the ‘360’ model is a 2-in-1 hybrid with S Pen support, and the regular ‘Pro’ model is the thinnest clamshell device in its class.

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra

Having said that, let’s kick things off with the Galaxy Book3 Ultra, the most powerful device in the series. This laptop comes with a full-sized keyboard, in other words, the numpad is included on the right side.

It comes in two SoC variants, a 13th gen Intel Core i7 and Core i9 models. These two variants come with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics cards, respectively.

This is a 16-inch laptop. It features a 16-inch 3K (2880 x 1080) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display (16:10 aspect ratio). This display gets up to 400 nits at peak brightness, and it’s a 120Hz panel. It comes with a DCI-P3 color palette.

Windows 11 comes pre-installed here, while Bluetooth 5.1 is also included. Wi-Fi 6E 802.11 ax 2×2 is supported, while the laptop comes in a Graphite color only. It comes in 16GB and 32GB RAM (LPDDR5) options, with 512GB or 1TB SSD (PCIe) storage. There is also a storage expansion slot.

76Wh battery is included, and a 100W USB Typ0e-C adapter is supplied as well. There are two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB Type-A port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a microSD port, and an audio jack.

The keys are backlit, while there are four speakers here, tuned by AKG. Dolby Atmos is also supported, while the tablet weighs 1.79kg. It measures 355.4 x 250.4 x 16.5mm.

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro 360

The Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 features a 16-inch 3K (2880 x 1800) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. This display is touch-responsive, and it is S Pen capable. Do note that the S Pen is included in the package.

This display can get up to 400 nits at peak brightness, and it’s a 120Hz panel. It has a 120% color volume (DCI-P3), and we’re looking at a 16:10 ratio here.

The 13th-gen Core i5 or i7 (Intel Evp) fuel this laptop, while the Intel Irix Xe graphics is here as a built-in GPU. 5G Sub6 (optional) is supported, as is Wi-FI 6E 802.11 ax 2×2. Bluetooth 5.1 is also supported here.

This device comes with 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM. In terms of storage, they come with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of SSD (PCIe) storage. There are also four speakers on this device, which are tuned by AKG. Dolby Atmos is supported.

A 76Wh battery sits inside here, while a 65W USB Type-C charger is included in the package. A fingerprint scanner is also included here, while there are plenty of ports on the device. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB Type-A port, an HDMI 1.4 port, a nano SIM card slot (optional), and an audio jack.

Windows 11 comes pre-installed here, while the device measures 355.4 x 252.2 x 12.8mm. It weighs 1.66kg (Wi-Fi model) / 1.71kg (5G model). It comes in Graphite and Beige colors.

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro

The Galaxy Book3 Pro actually comes in two sizes, 14-inch and 16-inch models are available. The smaller variant includes a 14-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 3K (2880 x 1800) resolution. We’re looking at a 16:10 aspect ratio here.

This display goes up to 400 nits in terms of brightness, and it’s a 120Hz panel. It offers a 120% color volume, in case you were wondering. The display on the larger model is identical to this one, but it measures 16 inches in diagonal, instead of 14.

The smaller Galaxy Book3 Pro measures 312.3 x 223.8 x 11.3mm, while it weighs 1.17kg. The larger model measures 355.4 x 250.4 x 12.5mm, and weighs 1.56kg.

A 63Wh battery sits inside of the smaller model, while a 76Wh battery is included in the larger model. A 65W USB Type-C adapter comes with both devices. Those are their differences, other than that, this is the same product.
