Samsung Galaxy S Information:
The Samsung Galaxy S is Samsung's new flagship device. This is definitely a top of the line smartphone even though its design doesn't exactly scream "premium". The design of the Galaxy S is more subtle than flashy and that doesn't have to be a bad thing. This handset ships with Google's Android 2.1 Eclair operating system with Samsung's very own UI on top of it, TouchWiz 3.0. This thing is packed with features and should be easy to get used to by basically anyone. Either way you look at it, this is a high-end device and Samsung is advertising it as such, I'm sure we'll see all kinds of advertisements in the coming months.
Samsung Galaxy S features a 4-inch (800 x 480) Super AMOLED display along with 512MB of RAM and either 8 or 16GB of internal storage, depending on which version you get. You can also expand that storage via MicroSD card up to 32GB. This smartphone is powered by a Hummingbird processor clocked at 1GHz which comes with PowerVR SGX540 GPU for graphics rendering. On the back of this device, you'll find a 5-megapixel main camera with autofocus capabilities while there's a VGA shooter up front. The device ships with a 1500mAh battery and Android 2.1 Eclair out of the box. The device measures 122.4 x 64.2 x 9.9mm while it weighs 119 grams.

Samsung Galaxy S Editor Rating:
Galaxy S is a true flagship device. This will quite probably be Samsung's strongest device at least until next year. The specifications are quite good and with Samsung's marketing capabilities I don't doubt this thing will sell, it remains to be seen how many will Samsung move though. If you're looking for a great smartphone with Android's operating system on the inside which can take basically everything you throw at it, Galaxy S might be something to look at. It is one of the best smartphones on the market at the moment, for sure.
