You can purchase the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra at Best Buy. It is available as an unlocked model, or an AT&T or Verizon variant. Unfortunately, Best Buy does not sell the T-Mobile variants, nor can it activate new phones on T-Mobile. Best Buy will also usually have a lower price for those that opt to activate their phone today, but it has to be on AT&T or Verizon postpaid.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is one of the best phones on the market today. Even though it is actually outdated now with the Galaxy S25 series having been announced already. You can often times get it a bit cheaper now, along with other deals that Samsung and retailers might be offering.
One of the more controversial changes that Samsung made this year was to remove the 10x zoom lens in favor of a higher megapixel 5x zoom lens that is able to crop in for a 10x optical zoom. It has honestly been amazing. Now, you get both options, instead of a digital zoom at 5x and an optical zoom at 10x.
Then there’s Galaxy AI. A lot of AI features are just gimmicks. Things that you’d never really use in the real world. That’s not the case for Galaxy AI, however. Samsung and Google (since this is based on Gemini), worked to bring in features that would actually help the consumer. Like Chat Assist, which lives on the Samsung Keyboard and can rewrite your texts, tweets, posts, and anything else you might be writing. Or Live Translate, which can translate your conversation in real-time on a phone call as well as in messages.
Despite the Galaxy S24 Ultra being a year old now, it’s still a really good option since Samsung is promising 7 years of updates. Meaning that it will continue to get updated until January 2031, if not longer.
