Ariana Grande tearful as she admits she used lip filler and Botox to âhide behindâ

Ariana Grande became emotional as she said she previously used filler and Botox as âsomething to hide behindâ.
The 30-year-old made the tearful admission in a video for Vogue, in which she also confirmed she stopped the cosmetic treatments in 2018.
She shared: âFull transparency... As a beauty person, as I do my lips, Iâve had a tonne of lip filler over the years and Botox.
âFor a long time, beauty was about hiding for me. And now I feel like maybe itâs not.â
The Thank U, Next hitmaker said she âstopped in 2018 because I just felt so... too muchâ, before explaining that she wanted to âsee my well-earned cry lines and smile linesâ.
While making the comments, Grande appeared to hold back tears, admitting she âdidnât expect to get emotionalâ in a video where she was demonstrating how to do a 60s make-up look.
After saying âageing is such a beautiful thingâ, she joked: âNow, might I get a facelift in ten years? I might, yeah!â
The Grammy winner, who has her own cosmetic brand, R.E.M. Beauty, also explained how her relationship with make-up has changed since she rose to fame as a teen playing Cat Valentine in Nickelodeon series, Victorious.
Grande admitted that she used to use make-up as a âdisguiseâ, but that she now sees it as a form of âself-expressionâ.
Following her candid admission, many fans commended her vulnerability underneath the YouTube video, with one writing: âI appreciate Ariana for being honest and transparent about the Botox and fillers she had over the years itâs not easy admitting that to the whole world so props to her.â
âIâm actually glad she talked about the fillers and Botox and how these things can be used to hide your insecurities, but also go way far beyond and how she moved past that, itâs beautiful,â another commented.

âCongrats Ari, hope you feel more and more comfortable in your skin.â
A third added: âIâve never heard any celeb talk about getting lip filler and Botox so freely and transparently and I love it!â
Itâs not the first time Grande has addressed commentary around her appearance, having responded to body shaming remarks she received earlier this year.
In a video shared to her social media, the US star urged fans to avoid making even âwell-intentionedâ comments about how âhealthy, unhealthy, big, small, this, that, sexy, non-sexyâ people may look.
