‘Pick her!’ Carl Fogarty’s impassioned reaction to daughter Claudia’s Love Island recoupling

Carl Fogarty was filmed getting very caught up in his daughter Claudia’s Love Island recoupling.

The former motorcycle racer, 57, was seen watching the moment the 28-year-old was chosen again by Casey O’Gorman, despite his Casa Amor antics.

The intense recoupling saw newcomer Cynthia Otseh-Taiwo watch in disbelief as Casey snubbed her to stick with current partner Claudia.

Cynthia had previously "straddled Casey on the terrace" and kissed him during his time away from Claudia.

Fogarty approved of Casey’s decision to choose his daughter as he shouted at the TV: "Pick her, I know you want to." A reaction shared on Love Island After Sun show on ITV.

This week as the islanders were left reeling from the events of Casa Amor.

As host Maya Jama entered the villa, recruitment consultant Casey was the first boy to stand up and announce whether he had chosen to "Stick or Twist".

He and Claudia had only known each other for a few days before he went into Casa Amor.

"It’s not going to be nice hurting anyone’s feelings at the end of the day," he said.

‘I’ve become closer to one girl in particular who has made my decision really hard, I’ve loved getting to know her so it’s really not made my decision easy at all.

"Coming into this experience I wanted to keep super open, it was the fairest thing to do considering that my time with Claudia was so short, so I have had to weigh up my time with Cynthia too."

He then decided to stay loyal to Claudia, leading Cynthia to mutter: "I can’t even look at him."

Claudia had also decided to stay loyal as she returned to the main Villa alone.

She said: "I am so shocked. I was scared to take a risk. I thought Casey might have coupled up, but I’m so happy.

She continued: "I am absolutely buzzing. I was just as nervous as well considering that we haven’t known each other that long, it was going to take something special."

Casey added: "I wanted to stay open and explore connections with other girls but I don’t feel like any other connection was as special."

Cynthia then fumed: "I straddled you on the terrace so you know, more than once straddling on the terrace, someone will get hurt."

She then burst into tears as the other girls tried to comfort her and continued: "It’s obviously funny isn’t it?" While Claudia replied: "Just chill out."
