Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Liam Payne will marry in a ‘few weeks’ says cousin of One Direction singer

Liam Payne’s cousin has said the One Direction singer could marry Cheryl Fernandez-Versini in a “few weeks”.

Ross Harris dismissed claims that the showbiz couple’s relationship is for publicity and said they could be close to taking the next step.

Speaking to New magazine he said: "I don't think their relationship is for publicity just because they've been seen holding hands and going to restaurants - unless they're having fun with the media and fooling everyone, which would actually be quite funny.

"I suppose only time will tell. They'll probably be married in a few weeks, it's that kind of vibe."

Harris – who was a contestant on The Voice – said Payne’s family think the 10 year age gap is “weird”.

"It's quite funny that the other One Direction guys are dating really young models and he's gone for the mature relationship - but she still looks like a model,” he said.

"He's done well! She's obviously very famous and very nice looking."

Payne and Fernandez-Versini went public with their relationship earlier this month after teasing fans on Instagram.

The pair - who first met on The X Factor in 2010 - recently enjoyed a date night at London's Salmontini restaurant.
