Colin Firth says working with Sir Elton John was a âdream come trueâ as he joins Halle Berry and Taron Egerton for Kingsman: The Golden Circle premiere

Colin Firth was reunited with some of the film industryâs biggest names as he worked the orange carpet for the premiere of Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
The 57-year-old actor put on his usual dapper display as he stepped out to screaming fans in a grey suit which he teamed with black rimmed glasses.
Firth has returned to the popular spy franchise as Harry Hart, despite appearing to have been killed by Richmond Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson) in 2015âs Kingsman: The Secret Service.
Firth and his co-star Taron Egerton, who plays young protégé Gary âEggsyâ Unwin, were joined by new recruits Pedro Pascal, Julianne Moore, Chaning Tatum, Halle Berry and Sir Elton John.

Speaking about working with the legendary singer he joked: âDream come true. Itâs all Iâve wanted to do since I was about 10 I think.
âI think I wrote to Elton to beg him to be in the first one. But now Iâm hearing all the reactions to Elton and Iâm worried I think he may have stolen [my thunder].â

John â who was driven around the orange carpet in a black taxi â said he regretted turning down the opportunity to star in the first film.
âI was supposed to be in the last one and I turned it down. Then I saw it and I said I wish Iâd been in it,â he told Alex Zane. âSo when Matthew [Vaughn] asked, I jumped at the chance.

âI was very nervous, but Colin and Julianne made me feel at home. It felt like a family.â
Berry, who plays Ginger Ale, looked stunning in a black floor length gown, but she faced competition in the fashion stakes from Moore who wowed the crowds in a metallic number.â
Poppy Delevingne was also in attendance and admitted to being nervous at the prospect of her family watching her intimate scene.
âTheyâre here tonight and I told them âcan you cover your eyes for most of itâ. I think theyâll be surprised,â she said. âI'm not sure I'm going to be able to face them afterwards.â
Speaking about her character Clara, she added: âI love playing the bad girl. No one wants to play the good girl - plus itâs hard playing a good girl with a voice like this.â
Jeff Bridges, Keith Allen, Mark Strong, Thomas Turgoose, Hanna Alström, Edward Holcroft and Claudia Schiffer were among those at the premiere.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is slated for UK cinema release on September 20.
