Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling ‘expecting second child’

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are expecting their second child together, according to reports.

Mendes, 42, was seen with a “burgeoning bump” at a recent photo shoot in Los Angeles, according to US Weekly.

The Ghost Rider actress already has 17-month-old daughter Esmerelda with Gosling.

Last year the actress told the Today Show that she was taking a break from acting to focus on her family.

“If I’m even like, ‘Oh, what should I wear? Or, should I do this project? All I have to think about is my daughter and her face, and I know the answer immediately,” she said. “She’s my moral compass in a way.”

The couple are yet to release images of Esmerelda, but Mendes did explain the decision behind her name.

Speaking on The Wendy Williams Show she said: “We love The Hunchback of Notre Dame, we loved the name, the cartoon and the novel… it just kind of kept coming back to us.

“It’s actually a very popular Latin name, so it’s easy for my father and certain family members that still don’t speak English to pronounce. That was a good selling point.”
