Lily Allen opens up about split from husband Sam Cooper in emotional âleaked' track

Lily Allen appears to discuss her split from husband Sam Cooper in a âleakedâ track from her forthcoming album.
The British pop star, who is yet to speak out about the breakdown of her marriage in 2015, reportedly does so in new song Family Man.
According to The Sun, Allen, 31, asks her husband of four years ânot to leaveâ in a series of emotional lyrics.
âItâs not always easy, being a family man. Baby, donât leave me, Iâm just doing what I can to get by,â Allen reportedly sings.

âI know that you love me, though Iâm young and stupid. I am wild and ruthless, youâre better off without me.
âI am more than selfish, I am tired, Iâm helpless. If I had the time of day, I might give all my days to you.â
Producer Mark Ronson admitted that the album was Allenâs most âheart-breakingâ yet during an interview last year.
âWe've been writing together again on the new record. I feel like they are some of the best songs sheâs written. Her voice sounds incredible,â he told The Sun.
"The stuff Iâm working on is some of her most honest and heart-breaking music ever. She writes so honestly you can feel it.â
Allen and Cooper, who are parents to Ethel, five, and Marnie, four, split back in 2015 after six years together.
Evening Standard has contacted Allenâs representatives for comment.
