Louis Tomlinson has promised to take Prince Louis “under his wing”, promising to gift the young royal an “Adidas tracksuit.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge ended days of speculation by revealing the name of their new baby son as Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge on Friday.

The Just Hold On hit maker welcomed the little “lad” on social media, clearly enjoying their name-share.

Tomlinson tweeted: “Young Louis welcome to the world. I’ll take you under my wing lad.

“The Adidas tracksuit is in the post!”

Fans hailed the One Direction superstar a “king” following the post.

The hilarious tweet comes after fans jokingly questioned if the royal baby had been named after X Factor judge Louis Walsh.

Louis Walsh’s name was soon bandied about as Twitter users shared memes and pictures of the music manager, claiming he will be “thrilled” to learn he inspired the Prince’s name.

One user tweeted: “Can’t believe William and Kate named the royal baby after Louis Walsh.”

Another wrote: “Louis Walsh is over the moon as Prince is named after him.”
