Richard E Grant WINS internet with his reaction to Barbra Streisand: âThis is so pure!â

Forget emotional acceptance speeches - Richard E Grant's reaction to Barbra Streisand taking to the stage was the winning moment at this yearâs Oscars.
Viewers were left in awe of the Can You Ever Forgive Me? starâs look of pride as Streisand walked out to introduce Best Picture nominee BlacKkKlansman.
Grant clutched his chest and shouted, âwow,â with Academy viewers hailing the moment a âgiftâ.
One user wrote: âGuys, @RichardEGrant when Barbra Streisand came out on stage was all of us. #Oscars.â

He later met his idol at an after party, hailing the moment â40 karat goldâ.
In the letter, Grant adorably invited Streisand on a holiday to his family home in Swaziland, south-east Africa, in a bid to give her some ârespiteâ from the pressures of fame.
After sharing it on social media, Grant managed to catch Streisandâs attention.
She wrote: âDear Richard What a wonderful letter you wrote me when u were 14 ! and look at u now! You're terrific in your latest movie with Melissa congratulations and love Barbra.â [sic]
Grant was left âovercome with emotionâ, as he shared snap of himself teary-eyed after seeing the response.
Grant was nominated for his first ever Oscar on Sunday night, but missed out on Best Supporting Actor to Green Bookâs Mahershala Ali. The win marked his second after scooping an Academy Award for Moonlight in 2017.
Grant brushed off the snub by posing for selfies with a slew of celebs including Emilia Clarke and Nicholas Hoult.
