Chris Martin admits to eating one meal a day following ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow's shocking diet reveal

Chris Martin has shared that he eats one meal a day in a new interview.
The Coldplay frontman, 46, does not eat after 4pm and revealed that his extreme diet regime is inspired by Bruce Springsteen.
Martin recalled Springsteen being in âeven more shapeâ than him at 73, when they met, as he discovered the secret to the US singing legendâs fit appearance.
âI actually donât have dinner anymore. I stop eating at four and I learned that from having lunch with Bruce Springsteen,â Martin said on Conan OâBrienâs Needs A Friend podcast.

âI was lucky enough to go over there to lunch the day after we played Philadelphia last year. I was on a really strict diet anyway.
âBut I was like, âBruce looks even more in shape than meâ and Patti [Springsteenâs wife] said heâs only eating one meal a day. I was like, âWell, there we go. Thatâs my next challenge.â
The British singer jokingly added that his choice of meal is âflank of buffalo with a steroid sauceâ.

Martinâs diet confession comes after ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow revealed she has âbone broth for lunchâ in a recent podcast interview.
Paltrow, 50, received backlash for her concerning eating habits as she was accused by body positive activist and model Tess Holliday of âglorifyingâ eating disorders.
The Goop founder added that she also eats dinner early before having a ânice intermittent fastâ.
Martin, who was married to Paltrow between 2003 and 2016, previously shared that he fasts like his ex-wife, taking the practice further by not eating for a full day.
âI fast once a week, yeah, one day a week,â he revealed in 2016.
âThis guy said to me, âtry not eating for a day, it will make your body feel healthier,â and I did it and I found I could sing a bit better, and also I felt so grateful for food.â
In 2021, Martin admitted to not being a good cook and had not prepared a meal in a decade.
He told BBC Radio 2: âIâve cooked twice in the last 10 years and both times the fire brigade came and Iâd like to send a shout out to them in North London Fire Department whoâve saved me twice.Â
