Grange Hill actor Eddie Marsan reveals he was âbullied relentlesslyâ at college as he claps back at troll

Eddie Marsan has opened up about his bullying hell at college as he put a Twitter troll well and truly in their place.
The 54-year-old actor, whose credits include Grange Hill, Casualty, Deadpool 2 and Hobbs & Shaw, won support online for his response to a tweet which he shared from a user of the micro-blogging site who was bragging how his friend used to bully Marsan at college.
Writing under the Twitter handle @PumpoiPercy, the original tweet read: âMany years ago my oppo was at the Print College @ the Elephant. Marsan came late to the class and sat in front of Russ. The lecturer said this is Eddie, be nice to him, Russ flicked his ears from behind and started singing âEddie the Elephant packed his trunkââ.
Pulling no punches, Marsan replied: âYeah I was bullied, relentlessly at printing college, it was awful. I remember your mate doing that. Iâm glad you find it funny. If he wants to know how I am now, he can just Google me, I have a beautiful wife, 4 wonderful kids, and Iâve been in over 120 films. Howâs he doing?â
The move was applauded by his friends and followers.
âImagine someone tweeting this and thinking itâs some kind of win? Good grief. You keep on living your best life,â wrote fellow actor Matthew Marsden.
âLove that answer boooom,â agreed ex EastEnders star Kacey Ainsworth, followed by a microphone emoji, adding: âAll the love.â
Sean Maguire, another Grange Hill alum, penned: âHahaha drop the mic. His only claim to fame is he once met you. And was a d**k. Donât doubt he still is. Bravo Eddie.â
