Greg James reveals he was once hit in the head by a bus and told to âshut upâ by the driver

Greg James has claimed he was once hit on the head by a bus and verbally abused by the driver afterwards.
The Radio 1 DJ, 37, recalled that the incident happened after the driver pulled into a bus stop so quickly that the vehicle collided with his head as he stood on the pavement.
The London-born broadcaster went on to claim that he was told to âshut upâ by the driver after he said he had been hit as he spoke about the incident on the How To Fail With Elizabeth Day podcast.
He explained: âI got really cross at a bus driver once. I was waiting for a bus because Iâm incredibly down to earth and take the bus.
âHe swooped in so quickly he hit my head. He actually hit my head.

âI was on the pavement and I went, âMate, you just hit me in the head with your busâ. He went, âOh shut up.â
âI said, âWhat do you mean shut up? You hit me with your bus, look how big your bus is.â I do get riled at transport.â
Elsewhere in the podcast, James â who is married to journalist Bella Mackie â admitted to suffering with moments of âself-doubtâ when he is âtired and stressedâ.
He continued: âTransport problems aside, the darkness comes when Iâm tired, stressed and over-worked. I have really horrible moments of crippling self-doubt sometimes.
âBut I think theyâre normal and itâs good to talk about these things. There are times where I feel I canât do it.
âI wake up and think, âHow am I going to do this show today? Am I any good? Iâve been doing it for ages, maybe I should be doing something elseâ.â
