Louise Thompson has said that she’s getting her “spark back” following health issues.

The former Made in Chelsea star, 35, has credited journalling when her day starts as the reason she feels less anxious.

“I was in a slightly funny place about a month ago but I feel like I’m really getting my spark back,” she wrote on her Instagram stories, alongside a photo of her journal.

“My writing has helped me regain a sense of control over my life,” she said.

Thompson has her own journal, in collaboration with the company The Head Plan

“The first few hours of my day are absolutely crucial if I want to have a happy and successful day.

“Often I can feel overwhelmed when I’ve got so much going on in my head, but this helps me remember what is important and gets me in to gear so I can focus.”

“It’s crazy because I can literally quantify the difference,” she added, saying that she feels more calm and can enjoy recording her podcast if she journals first.

In another slide, she also said that she “always feels like a bit of a rockstar after writing in it.”

Thompson has struggled with a string of health issues over the last three years.

Last year, the influencer - who is the elder sister of Sam Thompson - went into septic shock after having emergency surgery.

Her husband Ryan Libbey said he found Thompson “rolling around in heaps of pain” at their London home when he returned from a weekend spent visiting family in Devon.

Speaking on their podcast, Libbey said: “It leaves you completely dumbfounded because you don't know why someone would deserve to go through countless bouts of bad health like this.”

“I don't know how much more she can take. It's soul destroying, it takes the wind right out of your sails,” he added.

She had to undergo an emergency caesarean with the birth of her son in 2021 and ended up losing three-and-a-half litres of blood after haemorrhaging for more than three hours.

Last year, Thompson revealed she has a stoma bag due to her long-term battle with the bowel condition, ulcerative colitis.

She also has the autoimmune disease lupus.
