Rylan Clark admits that heâs lonely and has had a âbad few yearsâ since marriage split

Rylan Clark has spoken about the âbad few yearsâ heâs faced since his six-year marriage to Dan Neal came to an end.
The TV presenter said he has struggled with depression following the July 2021 split.
During a recent Comic Relief challenge on a four-day climb up the Cairngorm mountain in Scotland, Clark opened up about his struggles.
âIâve personally had a bad few years with my mental health, with my physical health,â said the 33-year-old who was joined by presenter Emma Willis and Dancing on Iceâs Oti Mabuse on the Red Nose Day trek.

âIâm looking forward to doing this because Iâve rebuilt my life and rebuilt my body.â
He also shared how happy he was to camp with Willis and Mabuse, saying: âA lot of nights I spend on my own.â
Reflecting on how the marriage break-up had changed him, he explained: âThe last few years my whole life completely changed, and the year after it happened I wasnât in the best place.
âNow Iâm back to feeling normal. This year Iâve gone, âSay yes to things youâd never say yes toâ.â
Clark married 43-year-old Neal in 2015 and announced their separation in July 2021.
Clark previously revealed that had been unfaithful to Neal âyears agoâ but only told him in May 2021, which led to the marriage breakdown.
He has admitted that he âbeggedâ Neal to return home after their split and said his drinking was âout of controlâ.
