Tiger King star Joe Exotic ties the knot for the sixth time from jail as he serves 21-year prison sentence

Joe Exotic, the controversial star of Tiger King, has revealed that he has married for the sixth time, despite being incarcerated.
The former Oklahoma zoo owner rose to international fame in 2020 as the star of Netflix’s Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness, which chronicled his eccentric life and bitter feud with animal rights activist Carole Baskin, who accused him of mistreating animals.
The 62-year-old, whose real name is Joseph Allen Maldonado, is currently serving a 21-year prison sentence for his role in a murder-for-hire plot targeting Baskin, as well as 19 counts of animal abuse. He has long maintained his innocence regarding the murder-for-hire plot that led to his conviction.
Despite being in jail, Exotic has married fellow inmate Jorge Flores Maldonado, 33.
The couple celebrated the occasion with a photoshopped image of themselves in suits, which Exotic shared with his followers.
He captioned the post: “Never been more proud of someone. Meet my husband Jorge Flores Maldonado." A few days earlier, he posted another picture of himself with Flores in prison, with his hand resting on his husband's chest.
He wrote: “He has gotten me through so much fighting cancer under these conditions.
“All I pray to God for is Trump will allow me to enjoy a little life outside with him before it’s too late. I love you Jorge you are my life.”
In his heartfelt post, Exotic tagged former President Donald Trump, expressing his hope for a presidential pardon to allow him some time outside of prison with his new husband.
Exotic's marriage announcement comes after he first shared the news of his engagement to Flores in October, telling his 396,000 followers: “Meet Jorge Marquez, he is 33. He is so amazing and is from Mexico.”
He also shared his plans to secure asylum for Flores, stating, “Now, the quest of getting married in prison and getting him asylum or we be leaving America when we both get out. Either way, I wish I would have met him long ago.”
According to CBS, Flores is serving time in prison for immigration-related issues.
Exotic has previously appealed for help, urging supporters to “convince Trump to let me keep him in America.”
Before gaining global attention, Exotic had a tumultuous personal life.
His first husband, Brian Rhyne, whom he married in the late 1980s, passed away from complications related to HIV in 2001.
He then entered into a relationship with JC Hartpence, who helped him launch a traveling animal show. After that relationship ended, he married two more men: John Finlay and Travis Maldonado, the latter of whom was 32 years his junior.

The two wed in a controversial three-way ceremony in 2014. However, Finlay eventually left the relationship, remarried a woman, and started a family.

In 2017, tragedy struck when Travis Maldonado, Exotic’s third husband, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
This loss was another chapter in Exotic’s dramatic and often tragic love life. He later engaged in several public relationships, including an engagement to fellow inmate John Graham, though that union did not last.
He also held an online “Bachelor King” contest, eventually selecting Seth Posey as his new partner, but that relationship too ended before marriage.
Exotic’s previous marriage to Dillon Passage ended in 2021.
