Doctors pleased with Ingle progress

Paul Ingle, the Scarborough boxer battling for his life in a Sheffield hospital, is showing flickering signs of recovery, according to doctors.

The 28-year-old is making regular movements of his hands as he lies in a coma 11 days after he was given a life-saving operation to remove a blood clot on his brain, following his featherweight IBF world title defeat against Mbulelo Botile at Sheffield Arena.

'This is encouraging after several days where he showed little or no change,' said a spokesman.
