Tottenham go into the international break 10 points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino's side are determined not to give up on their title dream, with Jan Vertonghen insisting he will not do so until he sees the Blues lift the trophy.

But it is becoming increasingly likely that Spurs will be playing for second place during the run-in, with only a collapse set to see Antonio Conte's side fail to finish the season at the top of the pile.

A runners-up spot would represent significant progress and the north Londoners, who boast the best home record in the division, will be more than happy to mark their final season at White Hart Lane in such fashion.

A Champions League place is by no means a certainty but it could prove to be comfortable, with a buffer of seven points between Spurs and fifth-placed Manchester United.

There's also the small matter of attempting to finally finish above Arsenal to attend to.

With the Gunners seemingly in crisis, having failed to record to a league victory since February 11, it will take a brave man to bet against Spurs becoming north London's top dogs come May.
