Liverpool could be crowned Premier League champions this weekend.

What has felt inevitable for weeks, if not months, could finally be confirmed on Sunday as the Reds look to claim their second Premier League title, and their 20th top-flight title in total.

Following a rare defeat to Fulham last weekend, the Reds bounced back by beating West Ham 2-1 on Sunday thanks to goals from Luis Diaz and captain Virgil van Dijk.

Arsenal’s faltering form has helped their cause. Dropped points against Everton and Brentford mean the Reds need just six points from their final six league games to clinch the crown.

Mikel Arteta has previously insisted that he would never give up on winning the title as long as it’s mathematically possible - even using the phrase “over my dead body” - but that time could well come this weekend, and here’s how.

How Liverpool can win Premier League title this weekend

Arsenal are in action at Ipswich at 2pm on Sunday before Liverpool take on Leicester at the King Power Stadium. If Arsenal lose and Liverpool win, then the Reds will win the title.

That sequence of results will also relegate Leicester City. In fact, Leicester must take points off Liverpool to survive another week, no matter the result at Portman Road.

If Arsenal draw with or beat Ipswich, Liverpool’s wait goes on another few days.

If Arsenal beat Ipswich and then beat Crystal Palace three days later, Liverpool can win the title by beating Tottenham next Sunday, April 27.
