Watford begin life with Marco Silva at the helm when the Hornets open up the 2017-18 Premier League season with a home game against Liverpool.

Watford appointed Silva on a two-year contract in May after the Portuguese impressed at Hull and, despite not being able to save the club from relegation into the Championship, he did enough to be named as Walter Mazzarri's permanent successor at Vicarage Road.

His first task next season will be to oversee a result over Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool side on the opening day of the new campaign before steering Watford through a tough set of games in October - which includes back-to-back matches against Arsenal and Chelsea.

With games coming thick and fast, Watford face a tough November - with fixtures against Everton, West Ham, Newcastle, and Manchester United with the Hornets having to close their season with a similarly tough run of games against Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Manchester United.
