Next Arsenal manager odds: Allegri, Arteta, Ljungberg, Rodgers, Pochettino… the names tipped to replace Emery

Massimiliano Allegri remains the bookies' favourite to become the new permanent Arsenal manager.

Freddie Ljungberg has stepped in to lead the Gunners as interim boss following Unai Emery's dismissal last week with Arsenal considering the Swede as a genuine contender for the full-time role if he can lift the club out of their current slump.

Allegri, Patrick Vieira, Mikel Arteta, Carlo Ancelotti, Nuno Espirito Santo and Brendan Rodgers are among those who have been linked with the post over the last fortnight, with director Josh Kroenke admitting last weekend that Emery’s future had been the subject of internal discussion for several weeks.

Rodgers has appeared to rule himself out of the running with Allegri still a leading candidate.

Arteta meanwhile was one possible option for the club when Arsene Wenger left, only for Arsenal to move for Emery.
