The first round of Six Nations fixtures are over and the early signs suggest we are in for an entertaining tournament.

Wales are in the driving seat, having swatted Italy aside after initially struggling to break down an impressive Azzurri defence.

Scotland are not far behind and also impressed during a hardfought victory over Ireland at Murrayfield, with Greig Laidlaw's two late penalties proving to be decisive.

Reigning champions England, meanwhile, occupy third place after struggling in their opening game against France.

Eddie Jones's side produced a disjointed first-half display but just about did enough to see off Les Bleus and secure a national record 15th victory in a row.

France and Ireland both secured bonus points due to their narrow defeats but Italy will be claiming the wooden spoon as things stand.

Of course, we still have four games left to play and there are set to be plenty of twists and turns along the way.

Can England claim a second successive Grand Slam?

Or will they be dethroned by one of their home nation rivals?
