Who won the last Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge? Past winners and prediction

23 March 2018

Oxford and Cambridge's University Boat Clubs will meet on the Thames Tideway for the 164th edition of the Boat Race on Saturday.

The annual event follows a 4.2-mile route from Putney to Mortlake and is expected to draw around 300,000 spectators to the banks of the Thames.

Oxford won the battle of the oars in 2017 to reduce their overall deficit to 82-80 and reassert their recent dominance after a rare win for Cambridge 12 months prior.

Indeed, Oxford have won four of the past five Boat Races and edged out their resilient rivals by one and a quarter lengths in 2017.
