The Xiaomi Band 7 is official, as expected. Xiaomi’s newest fitness tracker got announced in China, though it’s expected to arrive to global markets soon. This fitness tracker does include a familiar design, though it has a lot to offer.
As you can see, its display is still tall and narrow, though it offers more screen real estate this time. The display is 0.06 inches larger than on the previous model. It is touch-sensitive as well, of course. More on that soon.
The Xiaomi Band 7 is official and it comes in a number of strap color options
The Xiaomi Band 7 comes with a silicone band in a number of color options. Those options are Black, Blue, Green, Orange, Pink, and White. The adjustable length of these straps is 160-224mm.
The Band 7 features a 1.62-inch (192 x 490) AMOLED display with a 2.5D curved glass on it. It gets up 500 nits in terms of brightness. The device comes in an NFC version, and without NFC. The global model will likely offer NFC.
It offers great battery life, up to 15 days of typical use
A 180mAh battery is included in the package, and Xiaomi says you can get up to 15 days of battery life with typical use. The Band 7 can be fully charged in about two hours with the included (proprietary) charging dock.
The device is 5ATM rated, in other words, it’s water resistant up to 50 meters. It has an optical heart rate sensor, and blood oxygen sensor, on top of having a six-axis motion sensor.
Xiaomi included 120 workout modes inside this tiny device
Xiaomi has included 120 workout modes inside the device. Those modes include professional workout modes such as indoor and outdoor running, cycling, rope skipping, and more.
The device offers continuous heart rate tracking, continuous blood oxygen saturation monitoring, 24/7 sleep tracking, female health tracking. Over 100 watch faces are included, and AOD support is also offered.
It has a lot of smartwatch-like functionality
The Band 7 offers music control, remote camera control, incoming call alerts, you can see your notifications and reply to messages, and much more. It is essentially a smaller smartwatch at this point.
The Xiaomi Band 7 measures 46.5 x 20.7 x 12.25mm, while it weighs 13.5 grams (13.8 grams NFC version). The pricing starts at CNY249 for the non-NFC version, and CNY299 for an NFC version. The device is already available to order in China.
As already mentioned, the Xiaomi Band 7 will make it to global markets. We still don’t know when will it launch, but it’s expected to happen soon. You can expect NFC to be included in the global model, and it will be extremely affordable, of course.
