Rogers has officially announced their latest wireless brand called “Chatr”. This is a brand spanking new division that caters to those who want to get on a plan with unlimited talk and text. Although there are no official launch cities announced, Chatr is expected to be available in Toronto, Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton and Vancouver later this Summer. These are the same locations that Wind Mobile and Mobilicity operate in.

TORONTO, June 30 /CNW/ – Rogers Communications Inc. today announced the introduction of a new mobile phone brand to focus on the growing unlimited talk and text category. The offering, called chatr, is the first in the category to offer unlimited talk and text to customers with the reach and reliability of a proven network.

Information on markets, pricing plans and available handsets will be provided by chatr when it launches later this summer.
