It looks as if some lucky customers are already getting Android 2.2 Froyo on their Droid Xs. According to reports, Verizon Wireless seems to be rolling out a 2.2 OTA upgrade to a few fortunate devices as a test for the big release which is rumored to hit August 6th. Of course, the date is not yet confirmed by Verizon, but this is an indication of good things to come to Droid X holders very soon.
Recent Information also suggests that the roll outs don’t stop there. The buzz surrounding Verizon Droid handsets claims the Incredible, and (hopefully) the Droid Eris will also be getting an Android 2.2 update sometime in the middle of August. This upcoming month looks to bring Verizon customers something to look forward to.
