The guys over at Android Central have some pretty awesome test results from a series of benchmarks run on the original Droid, Droid 2, Nexus One, and the HTC EVO. All devices are operating on stock Android 2.2, except the Nexus One, which is running a Cyanogen mod. An issue was noticed during testing with Linpack on the Droid and Droid 2. It seems Linpack has trouble with the TI OMAP processor, which is found in both Droids.
The test, which starts with Linpack, continues with Quadrant, and finishes with the Neocore benchmark (as pictured above) shows off the Droid 2’s stuff. Looks like the Droid 2 plants itself firmly amongst the best of newer devices.
