Quebecor Media is reportinga that their Videotron company has activated 1700 handsets so far, which isn’t that impressive, but they are blaming it on their focus on building a good 3G+ network.
The President & CEO of Quebecor has said that they are building an Advanced Wireless Service network and they are pressing to launch it this summer. Up to 95% of the towers have been installed and they have signed all the needed agreements for tower sharing on those sites.
The final launch is expected to launch by September, with last possible date being September 21.
