Well another day and another company throwing its hat into the tablet mix and this time it is Acer’s turn to make some tablet announcements. Acer has let the news fly that they are working on 3 different size tablets in 2011. The tablets will come in a 10 inch display, a 7 inch display and a 5 inch display. Also all three of these tablets are said to run Android 3.0. Now when it comes to the processor that these tablets will have, Acer hasn’t decided that just yet. Acer as of right now is trying to decide to go with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor or Nvidia’s Tegra 2 processor to run their tablets. What’s even more interesting, Acer is going to launch an x86 using an Intel processor and Windows 7 to test the tablet waters first. Acer has also said that the Windows 7 tablet will be a small production run. With so many tablets on the horizon it’s hard to distinguish which ones will be worth the money and which ones won’t be. Either way Acer will be looking at stiff competition with Samsung’s Galaxy Tab garnering a lot of attention and praise. Hopefully in the coming months we will get a idea as to what Acer has up their sleeve, so stay tuned.
