Adobe Leaves Droid Out of List of Flash Capable Devices

Uh oh, seems like Adobe wants to leave Droid out of the list of devices that are flash capable.  This is kind of odd considering that the Droid received a Froyo update that contained Flash 10.1.  So how can Adobe dismiss the original Droid as not being a Flash capable phone?  Well the answer boils down to the processor speed in the phone itself.  According to Adobe the minimum processor speed to support the flash plugin when using WVGA resolution should be 800 MHz not the standard 550 Mhz that the original Droid uses in its standard state.  So because of this Adobe has decided not to list the original Droid as a Flash capable device.  None of this matters though if you have rooted your Droid and decided to over clock your Droid.  But if you are the majority of Droid users who haven’t rooted your phone well the future of Flash is uncertain at this point.  I guess we will all have to wait to see if Adobe will optimize Flash to support the Droid in future updates.
