HTC’s looking to have shipped 16 million handsets in 6 months accounting for Q3 and Q4 of this year. In Q3 they are shipping 7-8 million devices and in Q4 between 9-10 million devices. These numbers include other handsets such as Windows 7 handsets however with these figures you can start to see why HTC is making such a massive impact.
You can be sure that quite a few of these handsets will be rocking the little green robot though. With the release of the Desire Z, Desire HD and the G2 just recently and with the oncoming HTC Merge which should be hitting the shelves later this year, it is shaping up to be a very Android year in fact possibly even planet.
