Yesterday afternoon, Rogers customers received a tweet from @rogersbuzz with a link for the 2.1 upgrade for their Samsung Galaxy Spica, that they have been waiting on for some time.
However, when selecting on the link, you are sent to the Rogers website to manually download the update. Not only this, but it only works on PCs and are given a PDF file with instructions on how to install. There seems to be no explanation as to why the update is being delivered in this fashion, but it stands to say that this could pose a problem for customers with Mac’s or those without a computer and/or Internet access. Let’s hope this is a case of you-can-download-manually-before-we-release-the-OTA, because if not, I predict furious customers.
