While the Samsung Galaxy Tab has been getting some great buzz, pricing still hasn’t been announced. So imagine our surprise when the seven-inch Android tablet popped up on retailer Cell Hut for $699.99 (after an instant discount). This ought to be a European model as it’s a GSM/HSPDA network. You can always take it over to AT&T or T-Mobile for a contract or pay-as-you-go.
The firm has a Long Island (NY) area code, but are not exactly letting customers know where they are located. They claim “We cater to USA,” and they do with the in-country telephone number and offering prices in dollars. They mention a “main New York warehouse” (which fits with the phone number) and other warehouses through the US, but no physical address anywhere.
No estimated shipping time was given on Cell Hut’s Galaxy Tab page.
This is the first site we’ve seen offering the Galaxy Tab with a price in US Dollars. It is also for sale (pre-orders, naturally) at Amazon UK, for a whopping £679.99. That’s in pounds, please note. But that does include free shipping within the United Kingdon, delivery within “1 to 3 months.”
