T-Mobile G2 Starting to Arrive, Launch in 8 Days (Photos!!!)

October 6th will be here before you know it, and that means T-Mobile’s G2 is starting to show up in stores.  Current T-Mobile customers can pre-order through the T-Mobile G2 website as well.  (Non-T-Mobile customers, you’re going to have to wait until next week.)

The HTC-built Desire Z twin has definitely gotten peoples’ attention.  We have photos from TMONews and AndroidSpin for you to drool over.  This smartphone has Android OS 2.2 (Froyo), a second-generation Snapdragon chipset (Qualcomm MSM7230) with fast graphics, a 3.7 inch touchscreen and a full QWERTY slide-out keyboard with 3 customizable keys.  It has 4 GB internal storage and an included 8 GB microSD card (expandable to 32 GB).  Plus a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, and 720p HD video recording and playback.

Click on any of the thumbnails at the bottom of this article to enjoy a bigger photo.  In the meantime, are you not sure if this phone is worth getting excited about?  Then first check out the video here showing the G2 going through the Quadrant benchmark test.  It kicks the Nexus One’s battery door off.

Thanks to TMONews and AndroidSPIN for the G2 photos.
