The Acer Liquid Metal Confirmed For October

The Acer Liquid Metal that was cleverly leaked a few days ago  has apparently been confirmed by a representative of Acer’s in the UK, according to ElectricPig. In other juicy news on the subject some new details have been confirmed: it has been said that it “features a metal backplate,” confirming the suspicions of many speculating that the entire phone doesn’t really look to be entirely metal. Also confirmed is Android 2.2 (FROYO), although there was no word or knowledge as to whether they will include a new custom skin on top of that. None of the other specs listed in the previous rumors, like a 3.6-inch WVGA screen and an 800MHz CPU, can be confirmed at this time. According to this confirmation leak, we should also be seeing this phone sometime in October, though there was no word on region, but many are thinking that the UK, for starters, considering the origin of the report. Also no word on price. We should be hearing a lot more soon. Just remember October’s just around the corner.
